About the role

EmploySwift is hiring a Cashier in Guwahati, Assam. You will run the checkout counter: taking payments by cash, card and UPI, issuing receipts and change, and keeping the billing area clean and orderly through the shift.

Between customers you will help with product queries, handle returns and exchanges to store policy, and support restocking and tidying. The job suits someone quick with numbers and calm with a queue in front of them; freshers in Guwahati are welcome, and earlier counter experience is a plus.

Pay is ₹16,500 to ₹19,800 a month with paid leave and insurance cover. It is a full-time role at the Guwahati store, with growth into senior cashier and floor-supervisor positions. Training on the billing software is given in the first week, and the till is reconciled with a supervisor at the end of every shift.

What you'll do

  • Take customer payments by cash, card, UPI and other methods
  • Issue receipts and return correct change
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organised
  • Answer customer queries about products stocked in Guwahati
  • Handle returns and exchanges in line with store policy
  • Help with restocking and keeping the store presentable
